H tries to help Romeo by speaking with the Prince after Tybalt's death. The Prince, agreeing with his logic, banishes Romeo instead of sentencing him to death. He deals with a lot of heartache, particularly the death of his wife and only son. At the end of the play, he reconciles with Lord Capulet and even offers to build a golden statue of Juliet in the town square as a memorial to her beauty.
