I want to tell you about
my lovely mom. It was a really sad time for me when my mom passed away. It all started out when my mom first got breast cancer. She told me and I cried for weeks and months. My mom was a strong, lovely, black woman. Her wish was for me to get through school and be all that I could be, and for me not to get pregnant in high school. When I touched her, I thought to myself, "Does she remember me? Does she still love me or not?" Every time I wanted to touch her I thought, "Will I hurt her?" I said to myself, "Please, God, I hope I'm not touching her in the wrong way." A month later, she went to the hospital and had surgery. The whole time, Linda Ross, my cousin, was there for me. When mom got out, two weeks later, everything was going well. At least until October. She had blood clots in her legs. She went to a hospice house, and I was very curious about what that was. My dad and my aunt told me that it is were people go when they are really sick and they are on their death bed. Then they said "Don't cry, be strong like a tiger." At one time they gave her medicine that made her hallucinate and it would frighten me. I had to stay a week with her and sleep on a floor that was hard as stone. The final day came, February 14th. My brother can down from Dilly and visited her. When Alton got ready to leave, she started to have a seizure and her lovely, dark brown eyes were rolling back in her head. Two hours later, my beautiful life went down the drain. She passed away. Thanks for reading my story about my mom. Every chance you get, tell that special person "I love you."
