Juliet's mentor and a mother-figure too. She helps Juliet meet with Romeo and relays messages between the two. She is lacking in moral principals. She is bawdy and has a low sense of humor. When Romeo is banished, she urges Juliet to marry Paris. Although Juliet does not confide in her at the end of the play, until the suggestion to marry Paris is made, the Nurse is Juliet's friend and confidant. |
