Serving the Town of Warner, N.H.

Bringing information to the residents.

Congratulations to Clyde Carson, who is now our new selectman.

Congratulations to all who won the positions for which they were running.

To those who lost their race, thank you for offering your time to help our town.

Thank you to everyone for supporting their candidates and coming out to vote.

We are sorry for the inconvenience in not finding copies of Warner's New Paper at the Warner Recycling/Transfer Station (RTS). After 10 years, we will not be storing issues at the RTS as a distribution point. Issues can be still found around Warner, Bradford, Contoocook and Concord. Due to their hours, MainStreet BookEnds and Aubuchon will be our main distribution points. If you can't find a copy at any of the many other distribution points, please realize issues can be found online or if you need a printed copy, please do not hesitate to call the Editor. Thank you!

The March 2008 issue ushered in the 10 year anniversary of this publication. Thank you to all who made this possible, from those who submitted works, to those who volunteered their time in some fashion to either proof, distribute, or give an opinion. I would like to thank the readers who pick up this paper every month to see what has happened, is happening and will happen in Warner. I am hoping to thank others in the future. It has been an interesting 10 years.

- The Editor

JUNE 2008 - Warner suffered a great loss this month with the passing of a wonderful soul. Jim Mitchell, co-owner of MainStreet BookEnds, passed away suddenly, leaving a void in the town that will be hard to fill. He had a great love for this town and its residents. He was truly one of those wonderful things that are happening in Warner, because his legacy carries on.

(EDITOR'S NOTE: I will miss my friend, confidant and kindred spirit. "Never have I met such a mensch with a voice that could melt butta.")

Established January 1, 1998

First Issue - March 1998

Warner's New Paper is not connected with local government or subsidized with Town funds.

We make no implications otherwise.

Editor's Note:

Warner, beware of pay-as-you-throw. Is it another tax or form of revenue? Please ask questions, call towns that use the system, but ask the residents. Educate yourself and hopefully the residents will have a say if this system is adopted for Warner.

Our Recycling/Transfer Station (RTS) is not the same. You can see the changes already. The RTS looks clean. Absolutely, but clean at what cost? Was it all really necessary? Were there any outside factors that impeded progress which might have caused these problems?
