FOR MY MOM, FRANCES C. ALLISON AND
GRANDDAUGHTER, MACEY HOPE ALLISON
Having to watch my Mom with complications of Alzheimer's and seeing her go downhill so quickly after being diagnosed with this disease, I started writing poetry about her and what this disease can do. Mom is now in Chapel Hill Rehabilitation Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, due to having to have a toe amputated from vascular disease (poor circulation). I miss my Mom so very much, she now has no idea of who we are or where she is and it breaks my heart in two to know she will never again know me or my family. Below are some pages of poetry and my times with being her caregiver.
Losing a grandchild is devastating ! When you're looking forward to the BIG day and "bamm", here she is, so tiny, so frail. Macey was born three months premature, just weighing 1 lb. 5 oz., she was BEAUTIFUL!!!!! She held on to life for 74 hours, but she left quite a mark here for her family and there has definitely been a change ! There some pages made with poetry and photos and links for my "Little Angel" below, please visit and tell me what you think. Thank you.
