PROCLAMATION ISSUED AT THE
BHARATHIYA
SRIVIDYA UPAASAKA SAMMELAN
HELD AT CHENNAI ON FIFTH
JANUARY
2001
With the
Infinite Grace of Divine Mother Sri Lalitha Mahaathripurasundari Devi
and with the bountiful blessings of Sri Gurunaathaas, we, the delegates
who attended the conference named “ Bharathiya Srividya Upaasaka
Sammelan” held at Chennai and who have signed this proclamation, have
decided to form a council with the name "Viswa Srividya Parishad"
to-day i.e. Salivahana Saka 1922, Vikrama Samvatsara, Pushya Maasa,
Suklapaksha Dashami, Friday (5.1.2001), with the following aims and
objectives:-
1. To Promote Srividya for the Welfare of the World.
2. To awaken and promote the spirituality in human beings and offer
solace, peace of mind and correct guidance to those who are in need.
3. To guide and train the Srividya Upaasakaas for proper Orientation
both in terms of knowledge and practice of Srividya.
4. To publish ancient Books, Works etc. especially related to Srividya
or connected therewith.
5. To define and substantiate Mantras and technical aspects of Srividya
with the actual realisation.
6. To establish/renovate Sriyantrtas in Shakthi Pectams and make
arrangements for daily worship and suitable Poojas/Yagnas on special
occasions.
7. To accord help and render assistance in any possible manner to
Srividya Upaasakaas who are in need.
8. To conduct Research on Srividya and assist the Research scholars to
publish their works.
9. To organise Srividya Meetings/ Conferences preferably once in a year
at different places.
10. To establish “Srividya Viswa Vidyalaya”. (University).
Organisation and Management :-
1. This Council
being, in the service of the Divine Mother and the cause of Srividya,
there will be no office bearers and it has been left to "HER GRACE" to
inspire us with Divinely thoughts and gear us to action.
2. An Advisory
Committee consisting of 11 persons shall be constituted. They are
empowered to take all decisions including formulating Objectives,
Policies and all other incidental and connected Rules and Regulations.

For the organisational convenience, it
has been unanimously decided
that the following five persons shall constitute a working committee
allocating the work on the basis of convenient regions of India.

look after overseas operations in Co-operation with the working
Committee.
It has been provisionally decided to
hold next conference of
"Srividya Upasakas" at Devipuram in Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh, at the
Special Invitation of
Sri
Amruthanandhanath Saraswathy.
