The Johnsonburg Public Library has the mission of providing information, education, recreation and cultural materials to residents of all ages of the Borough of Johnsonburg. We provide materials (books, magazines, videos, and audio books) free of charge to our members. In addition to materials, many services such as reference serice is provided at no cost. A small fee is charged for copies, faxing, and inter-library loans of materials from other libraries. Public access to the internet is available at no charge.
The Johnsonburg Public Library has a local history and genealogy collection available at no charge. Included in the collection of microfilm, U.S. Census records for Elk County, and The Johnsonburg Press on microfilm with indexes of deaths and marriages from 1898 to the present.
During the Holiday Season, a collection of dolls and toys are featured in the Doll House. The Doll House is opened annualy during regular library hours from the day after Thanksgiving thru December 31st. Visitors are welcome but please call ahead to make arrangements for large groups.
The "Johnsonburg Public Library" now has it's Local Area Network up and running. It features an On-Line Public Access Catalog and 3 computers available for public use.
