We Believe
We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and we
serve Him as our Lord and Savior.
We do not claim to be the only Christians, but we seek to be Christians
only.
We have no creeds except belief in Jesus Christ and the Bible.
We cherish God's Word, approach it with both mind and heart, and listen
to the message God speaks to us through it today. We value freedom
concerning scriptural interpretation.
We see men and women as equal partners in ministry, and encourage each
person, child, youth, and adult, to use the gifts and opportunities given
them to serve God, the church, and the community. In this way, all
members are ministers.
We celebrate the Lord's Supper each Sunday and on special occasions.
It is the heart of our worship. All Christians of any denomination
are welcome to participate.
We practice baptism by immersion, but all forms of baptism are accepted
for those considering transfer of membership from another denomination.
Our baptism is a 'believer's baptism,' meaning that baptism is available
to those who are of age and understand what the act means.
We are an open and accepting fellowship of believers, encouraging diversity
and freedom while working together in unity under the discipleship of Christ.
We strive to be a caring and friendly congregation.
Some History
Our church body has been worshiping together on the present site in Wenatchee at Chelan and Palouse Streets since 1904. Our founders had two burning desires: to restore the New
Testament Church, and to help bring about unity among all Christians.
