The following is what one might call a "multipurpose" spell which can be performed during any month of the year as needed. When carried out correctly, it helps banish all things of negavtive nature and strengthens all positive virtues, as well as pays homage to both the Goddess and Her consort, the Horned God.
To performs this spell, you will need an athame, candle annoiting oil (perferably myrrh oil), a book of matches or lighter, and thirteen votive-size candles (one each of the following colors: black, blue, brown, gold, gray, green, orange, pink, purple, red, silver, white, and yellow).
On a night when the moon is almost full but still in it's waxing phase, cast a circle to establish a sacred space in which to perform this spell. Unless you have your own special method of circle casting, I recommend doing it the way I've already describe in another link on my home page. Please keep in mind that method is mainly for a Solitary Witch, but you can rearrange and add some words to your fitting.
Arrange the thirteen candles in the shape of a rainbow on the center of your altar, starting from the left with the silver candle, followed by the gold, white, gray, black, orange, yellow, purple, red, blue, brown, green, and pink one.
If you do not have an altar, you may place the candles in a rainbow shape before you on the floor in the cneter of the circle and perform the spell while kneeling or sitting cross-legged on a pillow. It also a good idea to use some type of fireproof holder for each candle.
Repeat the following words as you annoit each candle with a few drops of the mryhh oil (or whatever type you have):
I CONSECRATE THEE
After all thirteen candles have been annoited, light the silver one first and say:
O CANDLE OF SILVER
Light the gold candle nect and say:
O CANDLE OF GOLD
Light the white candle next, and say:
O CANDLE OF WHITE
Light the gray candle next, and say:
O CANDLE OF GRAY
Light the black candle next, and say:
O CANDLE OF BLACK
Light the orange candle next, and say:
O CANDLE OF ORANGE
Light the yellow candle next, and say:
O CANDLE OF YELLOW
Light the purple candle next, and say:
O CANDLE OF PURPLE
Light the red candle next, and say:
O CANDLE OF RED
Light the blue candle next, and say:
O CANDLE OF BLUE
Light the brown candle next, and say:
O CANDLE OF BROWN
Light the green candle next, and say:
O CANDLE OF GREEN
Finally, light the pink candle, and say:
O CANDLE OF PINK
Visualize the magickal energy of each candle as a glowing aura of colored light surrounging its flame. Hold your arms out with palms up in a traditonal Witches' prayer position and visualize a beam of colored light from each candle's aura flowinf into your body through the tips of your fingers. (You may draw in the endery of each candle one at a time of all thirteen together if you wish.)
Continue to visualize until you feel your entire body is filled with warm, glowing multicolored light like a living rainbow of magickal energy.
When you feel that the time is right, slowly befin to withdraw from the visualization. It is now time to end the Rainbow Candle Spell and uncast the circle.
Take your athame (or wand) and, starting in the direction of east, uncast the circle by tracing over it counterclockwise (also known as widdershins). As you do this say:
O SPIRITS OF THE AIR
O SPIRITS OF THE EARTH
O SPIRITS OF THE WATER
O SPIRITS OF THE FIRE
IN PERFECT LOVE AND HARMING NONE
You may now extinguish the candles or allow them to burn out if you so desire.
