This is my screaming spot; the place where all vents are open. I'm very opinionated, and everyone needs a place to rant, and I'm no different.
I'll add to these "points of ponderance", but for now, let's keep it simple.
Why is it that:
you will never see a Pagan/Wiccan priest/ess on local television, touting the benefits and glories of their religion, yet the airwaves are inundated with the ramblings of "mainstream" religions?
the side effects of certain "cures" are potentially more harmful than the ailment? (example: take a pill for your headache at the risk of a heart attack; put hair on your head, but your wife might give birth to a deformed child; prevent conception while running the risk of a stroke or clot, but, hey, you won't have zits!
we perform painful and cruel experiments on defenseless animals, yet spend millions in taxpayer dollars coddling convicted murderers, rapists and child predators in cable-ready prisons for the duration of their natural lives?
my husband can work his tail off 60 hours a week for a company that refuses to provide affordable, adequate health insurance for his three children (two of whom have jobs) and his disabled wife, yet I personally know three childless couples, who refuse to hold a job, yet are covered for medical, dental, optical and prescriptions by the state welfare system?
Disney's perception of nature is severely male-oriented? (in the Jungle Book, the elephant herd is lead by a male, the Lion King's pride is also male-dominated.) Mothers are nearly non-existant, and female main characters are nearly always in need of male "guidance"?
