Cat

Cassidy Melczak

Simple small yet infinitely complex
Tis my heart that she does vex
Small in stature, high in spirit
A soul to charm all those near it
Cat-like eyes they dart around
Her sharp ears aware of every sound
Golden flax, the fire does consume
Her hair smells of some sweet perfume
The scarlet hair, to her wit agree
From raging anger, to looks which make all flee
A joker and a scholar, all wrapped up in one
She knows the time for ample jest, and the time for none

Well here is a suprise, this is a love poem, not another in the series about my cat. But here's something you don't know, this isn't written for the usual person, this is written for someone I had a little crush on who went to my church. My nickname for her was Cat, because she had eyes that reminded me of a cat's.
