Day Dream

Cassidy Melczak

The mind such a simple thing
Yet often we dream on the wing
Dreams of fancy and dreams of flight
Our minds can choose not to wait till night

Are they real or are they not
While some are cold some are hot
Wild fantasies running away
While your body lifeless lay

Return alas now soon we must
Back from the fantasies of victory and lust
The real world in your dreams does creep
You wake, and all the day dreaming dreams of sleep

I wrote this because someone wanted some poems to publish. I just kinda whipped it up of the top of my head. It started out as some kind of mystery of the mind type thing, but I guess I need a little more sleep.
