Doomsday
Cassidy Melczak
Oh, woe unto worlds
Swiftly dying
Falling into death
Walking alone
Yet not alone never
When other worlds
Very much like our own
Running mindless
Like sheep to slaughter
Earth to the End
Can we learn now?
What our ancestors
Primitive ones
Knew in their very blood
Earth is sacred
Not to destroy
We have only one.
I wrote this with Wanderer I think I intended them to be one poem, but I decided that they sounded better as two separate entities. I think this one has a very good message and deserves some recognition.
