Night Cast

Cassidy Melczak

A lone person runs into the night
The vague impression of the light
Burning searing his eyes
He cannot see anymore
A fire burns near by
Someone is warming himself
The stars winked out one by one
By the Sun's glaring eye
Dawn draws near
And as the darkness faded away
So did he

This poem is a transformation. You start out with an object and by the end you turn it into something else. I am like this a lot, I always feel like I am a part of the night. One person calls me a ghost, but I'd say I'm more of a shadow..
