Night Dream

Cassidy Melczak

The night looms long
The stars grow dim
I take a rock
Smooth and flat
Holding it in my palm
I turn it over
With a quick motion
I throw it across the lake
It skips once
Twice,
And sinks to the depths of the lake
The ripples flow out
Waves of emotion
Flowing endlessly through time forever

I don't know why I wrote this, I just did. It was shortly after I wrote Tonight We Fly poem to amuse myself maybe it had something to do with that.
