Odes are our friends
Faithful to the ends
And they attribute
In addition, and to boot

Thankless work
But unlike a jerk
They never ask thanks
And always stay in their ranks

So this little ditty
That I wrote, so pretty
Is dedicated to the ode
Which our heart is their abode
