Ode to the Floor

Cassidy Melczak

The floor to you I owe
Oh, how I need you so
Without you I'd fall
As would the wall
So I keep you so shiny you glow

Floor you are so humble
On you little children tumble
You help us all
Though you are not tall
Without you surely we'd stumble

We need to clean you of dust
It is fortunate you can't rust
As no one takes care
Of what is still there
Now clean you daily we must

A friend of mine didn't think I could write an ode about the floor. I showed him!
