Tonight We Fly
Cassidy Melczak
Close your eyes and live a dream
Dip your feet into the stream
Walk along the beaten path
Turn away from the world's wrath
The moonlight glows and lights your face
Your clothing flows, lined with lace
The flowers fragrant, smell so sweet
You feel the warmth from head to feet
Your hair a glorious midnight black
Falls softly down onto your back
A man appears from across the lake
He extends his hand for you to take
A boat appears down at your feet
To take you to your man to meet
The boat is waveless without a sound
At his sight you heart does pound
"My love, my life come to me
And I shall give you all you see."
He touched her face and swept her hair
He kissed her cheek, the lady fair
Gently she grabbed his large, strong hand
And he whisked her away to a far off land
The man was me I will not lie
I must leave for tonight we fly
