We were deeply honored to have the late Father Eugene Carroll as godfather for our daughter, Lisa in 1988. He was pastor of Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Passaic, New Jersey. I have many fond memories of him, especially when we both would get together to sing liturgical services. Eternal memory! Vicnaja jemu pamjat!
Father George Gula, later Bishop +Innocent of Anchorage, Alaska was the main celebrant of the baptism of our daughter, Lisa at the Annunciation Monastery, Tuxedo Park, New York. He reposed on May 6, 2002 on the anniversary of his priestly ordination. Eternal memory! Vicnaja jemu pamjat!
Bishop +Vsevolod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church presents an icon of the Mother of God to me in behalf of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, South Plainfield, New Jersey for service given as a choir director for various special occasions. A few years earlier, I completed the iconography for their parish. The Very Reverend Father Raymond Sundland looks on.
