Brigid

From Eliza:

Brigantia - The Book Of Goddesses and Heroines by Patricia Monaghan

In Celtic Ireland, Brigid was one of the greatest goddesses, and the

Celtic Britons worshipped the same goddess with the title Brigantia.

Ancestral goddess of the tribe that bore her name, the Brigantes, she was especially worshipped in Yorkshire; her presence is memorialized in

the names of the rivers Briant in Anglesey and Brent in Middlesex. It is possible that she was never envisioned in human form, worshipped instead

as the power of the rushing rivers and thrusting hills of her

countryside.
