ANTI-DIARRHEAL PREPARATION

While it is best to let diarrhea run its course so that whatever is making you sick can escape, there are times when we simply must pull ourselves together and get out of the bathroom. The following recipe is high in vitamin C and healthy bacteria, which can put you back on track without the
artificial chemicals found in over-the-counter preparations.
In a large bowl mix:
1 1/2 cups crushed blackberries
1/2 cup crushed raspberries or black cherries
1/2 cup strained carrots (the baby food variety is perfect)
1/2 pound acidophilus yogurt
2 sliced bananas
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup cooled, cooked rice (optional)
Chill and eat. This preparation is tasty enough that you won't feel like you're taking medicine. Eat as much as you like, but don't overdo. The unused portion must be covered and refrigerated.
