About Raina Lynn

I've been writing since 1986, but between raising kids and battling Murphy's Law, I didn't begin making a serious quest for publication until 1995 when I signed with the Ethen Ellenberg Literary Agency. My work did well in unpublished competition, including winning the Silver Heart, finaling in the Lone Star, Romancing the Novel and twice in the Golden Heart. This gave me the hope that perhaps readers might love my characters as much as I do.

My lifestyle is perfect for a writer. I live in the Sierra Nevada in California. Forest living is incredibly peaceful. No other houses close by. No traffic. No noise except birds and the wind in the trees. Even with the innumerable winter power failures and the loooong drive to grocery stores, schools and the bookstores, I wouldn't trade my corner of paradise for anything.

My heroes are Gary Larson (creator of the Far Side) and Calvin of Calvin and Hobbes fame. Yep, I have a very warped sense of humor. If it's cock-eyed, off-beat or otherwise abnormal, I'm likely to love it. Oh, well, at least my horse understands me--I think!

I have my serious side, too, and have a deep respect for the proper balances in life. Forest living does that to a person. The endless courage of the human heart inspires me, and I hope that my stories reflect the potential for greatness in us all.

Very Best Wishes In All Your Endeavors,

Raina
