Hello buyers and collectors. We have just unearthed quite a few items they we had forgotten were in our collection. Mostly excellent condition cast iron banks, old tin wind ups, other items of tin or cast iron, and other cap guns. As most of you know, these were collected well over 50 years ago and lovingly stored until now. Remember, most of these items are rare and hard to find.

'PALACE' CAST IRON BANK.

MADE BY IVES IN 1885.

**VERY RARE**

As pictured in the accompanying photos, this excellent detailed and condition Antique PALACE 7 1/2 x 8 x 5 inch cast iron bank is in excellent working and looking condition. It was produced in the U.S. by Ives in 1885, and is documented in the Moore's classic reference work,"The Penny Bank Book" as "#1116". The Moore's give this bank a scarcity rating of "D", a very scarce bank. They value one at $1800. This bank has a very clean cast iron gray finish. The top portion of the bank does not look to be the original. It seems to have been replaced with another bank top. Also the front portion of the stair case is missing, this is common for this bank. On the left side and back of the bank is a casting flaw on the roof portion. Still a lot of the gold trim finish on this bank. Very nicely detailed cast iron. Please feel free to email or call with any questions on this bank.

Please Note: The bank has a 95% original varnish finish, as seen here:
