Whistler Secondary School which is in the heart of Blackcomb and Whistler Mountain ski resorts has
some unique programs along with the traditional academic courses.

The school has developed a Learning Lab to accommodate the academic needs of elite athletes. The
Learning lab is an individualized method of delivering the academic courses of Grade 9 to 12. The
courses will be offered to all students who feel their learning style best suits this curriculum delivery
system. If up is the way a student wants to go then a visit to the gym where a turn at the great
climbing wall can be had or if it's down then the students can enroll in scuba courses.

At Whistler Secondary School career programs combine academic foundation studies, selected
studies in a career area, and related work experience for senior students. WSS offers three career
program options:

·Accelerated Secondary Apprenticeship Program (ASAP)
·Career Preparation Programs (6 career areas)
·Co-op Program
