Powers of the Seven
Magickal Planets

Magickal practitioners have been using the energy of the seven magickal planets with great success. The magickal attributes of the planets enhance the working of magick. The seven planets: the Sun, Moon and the five original astrological planets of Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn have been allotted astrologically magickal attributes. They also have rulership of the seven days of the week and the hours of the day. The charts here will help you choose magickally appropriate days and times for your workings. For example, after viewing the charts you will know that love magick is best performed on a Friday (the day of Venus), three hours after sunset, using a pink candle. If the Friday happens to be the 7th day of the month, even better (as the number attributed to Venus is 7).

The two following charts show the planetary rulers of each hour of each day. The chart is not based on actual hours. Rather, it is based on the hours of sunrise and sunset. The number 1 on the first chart, for example, refers to the first hour after sunrise, rather than 1pm or 1am. Likewise, the number 1 on the second chart refers to one hour after sunset.
