Suggestions for getting photographs & information: Google images...
Go to Lonely Planet and find places ie. ... attractions, events, history, etc.
Landmarks such as Borobodor, Taj Mahal, Angkor Wat
Cities such as Bangkok, Manila, or Jakarta
Locations or Islands such as Borneo, Java, Bali
Check out the country's Slide Show (on the right of Lonely Planet) if available. Sometimes there are separate shows for cities within a country.
The Culturegram is GREAT! - type in specific names of items just as jeepney for the Philippines. Don't forget to include unique games like buzkashi in Afghanistan.
Type in these specific places. Do this instead of just typing in your country. You will save time by searching for the specific places. Here is a list of items for each country. There is much more beyond these suggestions. I appologize for any misspellings.
The Link for each country is the "official" tourist website or one or two for that country.
Follow Links...tourism...things to do or see...visit...etc.
