A letter written by Holden to Stradlater

Dear Stradlater,

I am writing you because the last time we saw each other
will be the last, as you know. Well, as we both could tell
our last meeting was not all that good of a one. You and
I got into a fight and I left quickly.

Well, I would just like to tell you that being your Roommate
was a pleasure. I really did enjoy your company. The only
thing that made me upset was that you were always so
depressing whenever you talked about not having a date on a
Friday or Saturday night. But, besides that you were a
pretty neat guy to be around. A word of advice to you
though, if you ever have another Roommate, don't make them
do your work and then tell them that it's crappy. If
someone does something for you whither it is quality wotk or
not, you don't criticize it. Boy, I was doing you a favor
and all you said to me was, it was lousy.

Well I better just say good-bye before I get all wound up in
the things that you did and do that are depressing or just
bug the hell out of me. So, Good-Bye my friend, the times
were great, and the laughs were better.
