Dónall Óg (air):
Two airs for a song that is widely sung in Ireland, and also known in Scotland. Chuala mé an dara leagan ar oileán Thoraí, Tír Conaill.

The Dublin jig/the treblin' jig (jigs)(E. MacAogáin):
Two of my own tunes. The old jokes are the corniest!

An Mhaighdean Mhara (air):
The melody of a song about a "sea-maiden", or mermaid. It comes from the Gaeltacht of North-West Donegal.

The Derry air (air):
Eoghan along side the River ShannonOne of the most famous Irish airs. It was first published in 1855 by George Petrie in his book "Ancient Music of Ireland" with the remark "name unknown". As Petrie says: "The name of the tune unfortunately was not ascertained by Miss Ross, who sent it to me with the simple remark that it was "very old", in the correctness of which statement I have no hesitation in expressing my perfect concurrence."

The American reel/the milliner's daughter (reels):
The second reel is No. 460 in O'Neill's 1001 Gems.

Molly gheal bhán Ní Chuilleanáin (air)(E. Ní Uallacháin):
This is my own version of a tune composed by Eithne Ní Uallacháin (I hope the liberties taken will be forgiven!). The original song was collected in Co. Tyrone.

The New Land (air) (O. Thomas)
Celebrates the purchase of a piece of land in Nova Scotia. The composer, Otis Thomas, is a fiddle player originally from Rhode Island.

Máire's jigs (jigs)
These are two jigs I learnt from my mother, Máire MhicAogáin, from Dublin.

Sliabh na mBan (air):
The air of a traditional song in Irish inspired by the 1798 rising.

There's a room in my heart for you (song)(B. O'Connor):
A song from the pen of poet and singer Batt O'Connor from Gleann na nGealt, Ciarraí.

Dr. O'Connor (Carolan)
Eoghan in Nancy Blakes Pub, LimerickNothing is known of the person for whom Carolan (1670-1738) composed this piece. It appears as No. 119 in Dónal O'Sullivan's book "Carolan: The Life Times and Music of an Irish Harper" (1958).

Slán go deo (air)(E. MacAogáin)
Fonn mall a chum mé féin nuair a bhí gá leis. "Adieu" is ciall leis.

All titles traditional/arranged E. MacAogáin except where noted above.
