My Activities
Fencing: (ex-President, current Treasurer)
The RPI Fencing club meets tuesdays and thursdays in the Armory Basement while the school is in
session. We go to tournaments frequently, including one to the Royal Military College of Canada. If I'm not around
during the weekend, I'm probably fencing. There are two types of people on the RPI campus; Fencers and Non-Fencers.
Whether I smile and wave at you or salute you depends on which catagory you belong to.
Mothers:
Mother's is run by RPI students as a
sub-committee of the Union Programming and Activities Committee (UPAC). We bring acoustic
music to the Rensselaer campus on Friday or Saturday nights almost every week that school is in session.
Music ranges from blues and jazz to country and traditional folk.
SWE: (Webmaster)
The
Society of Women Engineers encourages and supports women in the pursuit of a
professional career through corporate interaction, outreach, and social
events, both locally and nationally.
Writing: (co-Founder,CRC Webmaster)
I count this as an activity not just because it's something that I do, but because the CRC
(Character Refugee Center or Crazy Ridiculous Cliches) is probably a club in its own right. The CRC fantasy
(Character Refugee Center) has three members and CRC silly (Crazy Ridiculous Cliches) has more than ten. These
are stories that get passed around by email. Entries are posted on the CRC website.
The fantasy story started during the summer of 1998; the silly one started during the summer of 2001.
