Jail

You've heard the jail is one of the local tourist sites, so you decide to go see it.  It is the usual small town jail.  There is no one in any of the cells, and only one deputy there to show you and a few other tourists around.  As he does, you look specifically for something that might give a clue to the past of this town.

The deputy points out that the jail has been here since 1963.  It sits on the site of the old jail that burned down.  He mentions a few "notorious" prisoners who have been housed in this jail, but you've not ever heard of any of them.

He takes all of you inside one of the cells, and while he has the attention of the others, you are looking around.  It has 4 sets of bunk beds:  Rather large for such a small town.  As you look, you notice writing on the wall at the edge of one of the beds.  You make sure that the sheriff is busy showing the people the recent updates to the cell, and bend over to read it.  There is only one word and a date:  Morgantown - 1963

When the tour ends, you leave the jail.  On the outside, you notice the dedication stone at the corner of the building.  It says:  Dedicated by John Branch on March 5, 1963.

I want to go back to the map
I've had enough, I'm scared, get me out of here! 1
