Grizzly BearJoseph lived in the woods. He had built himself a log cabin, and he lived quite happily by his own devices. But he was often quite lonely. One day, while he was walking through the woods, he found an injured bear cub. So he carefully picked it up and took it home. He nursed the bear back to health and cared for the bear. He kept it as his own. Joseph was not so lonely any more. And Joseph grew to love the bear, as though it were his own son. As time went on, the bear grew to adult size, and Joseph had trouble providing food for it. He kept it chained outside, and left it water to drink. Often the bear would go without a decent sized meal for a few nights in a row. And then one day, driven by hunger, the bear rose up when Joseph came near, and the bear killed Joseph and ate him. But then what did you expect, a bear is a dangerous animal. |
