reetings,
holy children of God, in the wonderful name of our lord and saviour Jesus, the Christ.
The sermon subject for today is: ON THE DAY OF PENTECOST. WHEN PETER PREACHED THE GOSPEL TO THE MEN OF ISRAEL, AND THEY COME INTO THE KNOWLEDGE THAT THEY HAD CRUCIFIED, THE SON OF GOD. THEY CAME TO THE APOSTLE PETER, AND SAID, "WHAT MUST WE DO?" AND PETER SAID, THESE WORDS RECORDED IN THE BOOK OF ACTS. Acts:2:36: Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Acts:2:37: Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Acts:2:38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts:2:39: For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. WHAT DO CHRISTIANS MEAN WHEN WE SAY THAT WE ARE SAVED? WE AS CHRISTIANS MEAN THAT WE ARE IN CHRIST JESUS, IN THE BODY OF CHRIST. ALIVE BOTH PHYSICALLY, AND SPIRITULLY, FREE FROM SIN, AND FREE FROM THE PUNISHMENT THAT SHALL COME UPON THOSE THAT ARE IN SIN. AND, THAT WE ARE HEIRS OF GOD, AND JOINT HEIRS WITH CHRIST ACCORDING TO THE PROMISES OF GOD. WHAT IS REPENTANCE? IT IS TURNING FROM DOING YOUR OWN WILL TO DOING THE WILL OF GOD. AND, BEING SORRY FOR THE SINS THAT YOU HAVE COMMITTED. WHY SHOULD A PERSON REPENT? WITHOUT REPENTANCE A PERSON SHALL SURELY PERISH. Lk:13:1: There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. Lk:13:2: And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? Lk:13:3: I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Lk:13:4: Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? Lk:13:5: I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. WHY IS IT NECESSARY TO BE BAPTIZED? WHEN A PERSON IS BORN INTO THE WORLD, BECAUSE OF THE ORIGINAL SIN OF ADAM, A PERSON IS ALIVE PHYSICALLY, BUT DEAD SPIRITUALLY. 1Cor:15:22: For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (KJV) THE INWARD MAN THE SOUL IS DEAD, THEY MUST BE BORN AGAIN, THEY MUST BE BORN OF WATER, AND OF THE SPIRIT. WHEN A PERSON IS BORN INTO THE WORLD, THEY ARE UNDER THE LAW OF MOSES' AND BY THAT LAW NO FLESH SHALL BE JUSTIFIED. Rom:3:19: Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Rom:3:20: Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. THE LAW OF MOSES, THE LAW THAT GOD GAVE TO MOSES, IS KNOWN AS THE LAW OF SIN, AND DEATH. THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY THAT I KNOW TO GET OUT FROM UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE LAW O F MOSES' AND THAT IS TO DIE TO SIN. AND WE DIE TO SIN WHEN WE ARE BAPTISED IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. Rom:6:1: What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? Rom:6:2: God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Rom:6:3: Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Rom:6:4: Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Rom:6:5: For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Rom:6:6: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. Rom:6:7: For he that is dead is freed from sin SAINTS OF GOD, WHEN A CHILD OF GOD IS BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, WE ARE TRANSLATED OUT OF THE WORLD, AND INTO THE BODY OF CHRIST. Gal:3:27: For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (KJV) BELOVED, WHEN A CHILD OF GOD IS BAPTIZED INTO THE BODY OF CHRIST, THE WATER OF THEIR BAPTISM WASHES THEIR SINS AWAY. AS ANANAIS SAID TO THE APOSTLE PAUL, WHEN SCALES FELL FROM HIS EYES. ANANAIS SAID "WHY TARRIEST THOU, ARISE AND BE BAPTIZED, AND WASH AWAY THY SINS. AND AS THE APOSTLE PETER SAID ON THE DAY OF PENTECOST. REPENT, AND BE BAPTIZED EVERY ONE OF YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION OF SIN, AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE HOLY GHOST. WHEN A PERSON IS BAPTIZED INTO THE BODY OF CHRIST THEY COME UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF "THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE." AND BY THAT LAW YOU NEVER COME INTO CONDEMNATION, AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT THE WORKS OF THE FLESH. Rom:8:1: There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (KJV) HOLY CHILDREN, THE MOST WONDERFUL THING THAT WILL HAPPEN TO A CHILD OF GOD, IN THIS WORLD, IS RECEIVING THE HOLY GHOST. WHEN A PERSON RECEIVES THE HOLY GHOST THE KINGOM OF GOD COMES. FOR WHAT IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD? THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE, AND JOY IN THE HOLY GHOST. Rom:14:17: For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. (KJV) WHEN A PERSON RECEIVES THE HOLY GHOST LOVE COMES, FOR WHAT IS LOVE? GOD IS LOVE. AND, THE INWARD MAN THE SOUL COMES TO LIFE. THAT PART OF A MAN COMES TO LIFE THAT SHALL LIVE IN ETERNITY. FOR THE INWARD MAN THE SOUL IS RENEWED DAY BY DAY. 2Cor:4:16: For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. (KJV) WHEN A PERSON RECEIVES THE HOLY GHOST THEY BECOME A NEW CREATURE, A NEW CREATION. OLD THINGS PASS AWAY, AND ALL THINGS BECOME NEW. GIVES YOU A NEW START IN LIFE. 2Cor:5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (KJV) WHEN A PERSON RECEIVES THE HOLY GHOST, THE ANOINTING COMES THAT TEACHES US, AND BRINGS US INTO ALL TRUTH. 1Jn:2:27: But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. (KJV) WHEN WE, THE ELECT OF GOD, RECEIVE THE HOLY GHOST, WE RECEIVE THE ABILITY TO LIVE THE SIN FREE LIFE. IF A PERSON SAYS THAT HE IS A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN, AND CONTINUES IN SIN SOMETHING IS WRONG. 1Jn:3:1: Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 1Jn:3:2: Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 1Jn:3:3: And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 1Jn:3:4: Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 1Jn:3:5: And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 1Jn:3:6: Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. 1Jn:3:7: Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 1Jn:3:8: He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1Jn:3:9: Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1Jn:3:10: In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. WHEN A PERSON RECEIVES THE HOLY GHOST, IT IS THE EARNEST OF OUR INHERITANCE. YOU KNOW THAT YOU SHALL INHERIT SUCH MARVELOUS GIFTS AS ETERNAL LIFE, THE IMMORTAL BODY, AND BE HEIR, AND JOINT HEIRS WITH JESUS CHRIST IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD. Eph:1:13: In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Eph:1:14: Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. BELOVED OF GOD, ACCEPT A PERSON BE BORN OF WATER, AND OF THE SPIRIT, THEY CANNOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD. JESUS CHRIST SPEAKING TO NICODEMUS SAID THESE WORDS, "EXCEPT A MAN BE BORN OF WATER AND THE SPIRIT, HE CANNOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD." Jn:3:1: There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: Jn:3:2: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jn:3:3: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Jn:3:4: Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jn:3:5: Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Jn:3:6: That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. CHRISTIAN BRETHREN, FOR A MAN TO BE SAVED, WHEN HE IS JUDGED, HE MUST REPENT, HE MUST BE BORN OF WATER, AND THE SPIRIT. HE MUST BE OF THE HOUSE OF FAITH. HE MUST EAT OF THE FLESH OF THE LORD JESUS, AND DRINK OF HIS BLOOD. Jn:6:53: Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.(KJV) HOLY CHILDREN, WE EAT OF THE FLESH, AND DRINK OF THE BLOOD THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, WHEN WE PARTAKE OF THE LORD'S SUPPER. WHEN A MAN OF GOD, WITHIN WHOM THE SPIRIT OF GOD DWELLS. COMES WITH THE INTENT TO PERFORM THE RITUAL OF THE LORD'S SUPPER, AND RISES HOLY HANDS. AND, BLESSES THE UNLEAVENED BREAD, AND THE FRUIT OF THE VINE. THERE IS A CHANGE COMES OVER THE SUBSTANCE. THE UNLEAVENED BREAD BECOMES THE BODY OF CHRIST, AND THE FRUIT OF THE VINE BECOMES THE BLOOD OF CHRIST. AND A PERSON MUST EXAMINE HIMSELF, AND BE SURE THAT HE IS WORTHY TO PARTAKE OF THE BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST. HOW DO WE BECOME WORTHY TO EAT OF THE BODY, AND DRINK OF THE BLOOD OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST? WE BECOME RIGHTEOUS BY FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS, AND FAITH IN THE BLOOD THAT CHRIST SHED ON CALVARY'S CROSS. WHEN A PERSON PLACES HIS FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST, AND PLACES HIS FAITH IN THE BLOOD THAT JESUS SHED ON CALVARY'S CROSS, GOD THE FATHER ALLOWS THAT PERSON TO DECLARE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF JESUS CHRIST. 1Cor:11:26: For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. 1Cor:11:27: Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 1Cor:11:28: But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 1Cor:11:29: For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. 1Cor:11:30: For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. BELOVED, TO BE SAVED WHEN WE ARE JUDGED, WE MUST BE OBEDIENT TO THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD GOD. 2Tm:2:5: And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. (KJV) LITTLE CHILDREN, THERE IS ONE OTHER SACRAMENT THAT I WANT TO CALL TO YOUR ATTENTION, AND THAT IS THE RITUAL OF WASHING OF FEET. WHAT IS A SACRAMENT? A SACRAMENT IS A RITUAL INSTITUTED OF GOD, THAT IS A OUTWARD, AND VISIBLE SIGN OF AN INWARD AND SPIRITUAL GRACE. JESUS CHRIST SAID THESE WORDS Jn:13:4: He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. Jn:13:5: After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. Jn:13:6: Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jn:13:7: Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. Jn:13:8: Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. Jn:13:9: Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. Jn:13:10: Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. LET ME CONCLUDE WITH WHAT I BELIEVE IS THE GREATEST VERSE OF SCRIPTURE IN THE BIBLE. Jn:3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV) NOTICE THE GREATS IN THIS VERSE OF SCRIPTURE, "FOR GOD", GOD IS THE GREATEST DEVINE PERON. "SO LOVED", LOVE IS THE GREATEST DEVOTION. "THE WORLD", THE GREATEST NUMBER. "THAT HE GAVE", TO GIVE IS THE GREATEST ACT A PERSON CAN DO. "HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON." THE GREATEST GIFT. "THAT WHO SO EVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH", THE GREATEST CONDITION. "BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE." THE GREATEST RESULTS.
