reetings, holy children of God, in the wonderful name of our lord and saviour Jesus, the Christ. The sermon subject for today is:

WERE THERE MANY MEN SAVED UNDER THE LAW THAT GOD GAVE TO MOSES? NO, ONLY A FEW. FEW IS DEFINED AS THREE OR MORE.

Is:24:5: The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

Is:24:6: Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

WHY WERE SO FEW MEN SAVED UNDER THE LAW. BECAUSE THE LAW THAT GOD GAVE TO MOSES HAD TO BE KEPT TO THE LETTER. UNDER THE LAW, FIRST CAME TEMPTATION, IF A PERSON YEILD TO TEMPTATION, THEN CAME SIN, THEN CAME THE CURSE, AND FINALLY DESTRUCTION. PHYSICAL DEATH, AND THE SPIRITUAL DEATH, REIGNED BECAUSE OF THIS VERSE OF SCRIPTURE.

Dt:27:26: Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen. (KJV)

MANY MEN ARE GOING ABOUT THIS VERY DAY, TRYING TO BE RIGHTEOUS BY KEEPING THE LAW OF MOSES. IF WE COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED BY KEEPING THE LAW, THEN CHRIST DEATH WAS IN VAIN.

Rom:10:1: Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

Rom:10:2: For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

Rom:10:3: For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Rom:10:4: For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Rom:10:5: For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

Rom:10:6: But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

Rom:10:7: Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

Rom:10:8: But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

Rom:10:9: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom:10:10: For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

SAINTS OF GOD, WE HAVE AN ENEMY THAT WOULD SEND US, THE ELECT OF GOD, INTO THE FLAMES OF HELL. THE ENEMY’S NAME IS SATAN THE DEVIL. SATAN HAS MANY CHILDREN, AND THEY DO THEIR FATHER’S WILL. LET ME GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE OF HOW SATAN DESTROYS THE CHILDREN OF GOD. SATAN USES THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD AS A WEAPON TO DESTROY THE SAINTS OF GOD. AS SATAN USED THE SERPENT IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN, IS THE WAY THAT SATAN USES THE FALSE PROPHET, FALSE EVANGELIST, FALSE PASTOR, AND THE FALSE TEACHER TO LEAD GOD’S CHILDREN TO DESTRUCTION. GOD COMMANDED ADAM NOT TO EAT OF THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD, AND EVIL.

Gn:2:16: And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

Gn:2:17: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

THE COMMANDMENT THAT WAS SENT FORTH TO SAVE LIFE BROUGHT DEATH. THE APOSTLE PAUL WAS INSPIRED OF GOD TO RECORD THESE WORDS.

Rom:7:10: And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. (KJV)

WHEN ADAM TRANSGRESSED THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD, THE SAME DAY, SIN WAS IMPUTED TO ADAM, NOT ONLY TO ADAM BUT TO ALL HUMANITY; FOR ALL MANKIND WAS IN ADAM AT THAT TIME. AND WE ALL DIED THE SPIRITUAL DEATH. THE INWARD MAN, THE SOUL, DIED. THERE IS THE PHYSICAL DEATH, AND THERE IS THE SPIRITUAL DEATH.

1Cor:15:22: For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (KJV)

FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS, FROM THE TIME OF ADAM UNTIL THE PROPHET MOSES WAS BORN; MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN WENT OUT INTO ETERNITY WITHOUT HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE.

Rom:5:14: Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

BECAUSE OF THE ORIGINAL SIN OF ADAM,WHEN A CHILD IS BORN INTO THE WORLD EVEN TO THIS VERY DAY, HE IS ALIVE PHYSICALLY, BUT DEAD SPIRITUALLY, HE MUST BE BORN AGAIN. HE MUST BE BORN OF WATER, BAPTIZED, AND OF THE SPIRIT, HE MUST RECEIVE THE WASHING OF REGENERATION, AND THE RENEWING OF THE HOLY GHOST. WHEN A MAN RECEIVES THE HOLY GHOST THE INWARD MAN, THE SOUL COMES TO LIFE.

Jn:3:5: Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (KJV)

BEFORE A PERSON RECEIVES THE HOLY GHOST, HE RUNS WITH THE CHILDREN OF SATAN DOING THOSE THINGS THAT ARE NOT PLEASING TO GOD. FOR THE CARNAL MIND, THE MIND OF SENSE, AND REASON WITHOUT THE HOLY GHOST IS NOT SUBJECT TO THE LAWS OF GOD, NEITHER IN DEED CAN BE.

Rom:8:6: For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Rom:8:7: Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Rom:8:8: So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

IN THE FULLNESS OF TIME, GOD CALLS HIS CHILDREN TO REPENTANCE, AND THEY ARE BAPTIZED OUT OF THE WORLD, AND INTO THE BODY OF CHRIST. ETERNAL LIFE IS IN THE BODY OF CHRIST. ONLY THOSE ELECTED, SELECTED, HAND PICKED OF GOD, BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, AND PREDESTINATED TO BE ADOPTED INTO THE FAMILY OF GOD, SHALL BE SAVED . FOR BY GRACE ARE WE SAVED, THROUGH FAITH, AND NOT OF OURSELVES IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD.

Eph:1:1: Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

Eph:1:2: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Eph:1:3: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Eph:1:4: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Eph:1:5: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Eph:1:6: To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

ONLY THE CHILDREN OF GOD, ORDAINED TO ETERNAL LIFE SHALL BELIEVE.

Acts:13:48: And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. (KJV)

ONCE A PERSON HAS BEEN BAPTIZED INTO THE BODY OF CHRIST, AND HAS RECEIVED THE WASHING OF REGENERATION, AND THE RENEWING OF THE HOLY GHOST, THEY BECOME A NEW CREATION, THE INWARD MAN THE SOUL COMES TO LIFE.

2Cor:5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2Cor:5:18: And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

WHEN JESUS CHRIST CREATED MAN, HE MADE MAN A TRINITY IN UNITY, BODY, SOUL, AND SPIRIT. IT IS THE INWARD MAN THE SOUL THAT SHALL LIVE IN ETERNITY. THE OUTWARD MAN, THE PHYSICAL BODY SHALL PERISH, IT IS THE SOUL OF MAN THAT SHALL LIVE IN ETERNITY FOR THE SOUL OF MAN IS RENEWED DAY BY DAY.

2Cor:4:16: For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. (KJV)

ONCE THE INWARD MAN THE SOUL COMES TO LIFE A PERSON MUST BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT HE DOES OR SAYS. A PERSON MUST BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO TRANSGRESS THE COMMANDS OF GOD. IF AFTER A MAN HAS RECEIVED THE HOLY GHOST, AND AFTER HE COMES INTO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH. HE KNOWS ABOUT REPENTANCE FROM DEAD WORKS, HE KNOWS ABOUT FAITH TOWARD GOD, HE KNOWS ABOUT BAPTISM, AND THE LAYING ON OF HANDS, HE KNOWS ABOUT THE ETERNAL JUDGMENT. IF HE SINS WILFULLY, AFTER HE HAS COME INTO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH, THERE REMAINS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SIN.

Heb:10:26: For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, (KJV)

MULTITUDES OF MEN ARE PREACHING FROM THE OLD TESTAMENT TO THEIR OWN HURT. MEN MUST PRACTICE WHAT THEY PREACH. YOU CANNOT PREACH ONE WAY, AND LIVE ANOTHER. THE APOSTLE PAUL WAS INSPIRED OF GOD TO RECORD THESE WORDS,

Rom:2:21: Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?

Rom:2:22: Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

Rom:2:23: Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?

FOR EXAMPLE, GOD PLACED A TAX ON THE TRIBES OF ISREAL CALLED THE TITHE, OR TEN PER CENT OF THEIR INCREASE, FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE LEVITICAL TRIBE. THE TITHING LAWS WERE NOT BROUGHT OVER INTO THE NEW TESTAMENT BECAUSE KINGS DO NOT TAX THEIR OWN CHILDREN, THEY TAX CHILDREN OF STRANGERS.

Mt:17:24: And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?

Mt:17:25: He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?

Mt:17:26: Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.

Mt:17:27: Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

IF A MAN PREACHES THAT MEN ARE COMMANDED TO TITHE, TO GIVE A TENTH OF THEIR INCOME AS A TAX TO THE CHURCH, THEY WILL MAKE THEMSELVES A TRANSGRESSOR. THE OLD TESTAMENT, THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS, HAD TO BE KEPT TO THE LETTER. IF A PERSON WAS SHORT ONE PENNY ON HIS TITHE, OR ONE EAR OF CORN, OR ONE ANIMAL ; ANY TYPE LIVE STOCK THEY VERY WELL MAY GO UNDER A SENTENCE OF CONDEMNATION. NOTICE THERE WAS A TIME WHEN ALL ISRAEL WENT UNDER A SENTENCE OF CONDEMNATION BECAUSE OF THE TITHING LAWS.

Mal:3:8: Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

Mal:3:9: Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TAX, AND A FREE WILL OFFERING. A MAN MAY GIVE AN OFFERING, OR HE DOES NOT HAVE TO GIVE AN OFFERING. BUT A TAX IS DIFFERENT, IF A MAN DOES NOT PAY HIS TAXES, HE WILL BE IN LOTS OF TROUBLE. IF YOU SAY THAT YOU ARE TITHING, GOD IS A TREMENDEOUS BOOK KEEPER, HE COUNTS YOUR STEPS AS YOU WALK ALONG, HE RECORDS YOUR WORDS AS YOU SPEAK, HE EVEN HAS THE HAIR ON YOUR HEAD NUMBERED, HE KNOWS IF YOU GIVE A TENTH OF ALL YOUR INCREASE TO THE CHURCH. THERE IS NO WERE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT, OR NEW TESTAMENT WERE GOD COMMANDS HIS CHILDREN TO GIVE A TITHE TO THE CHURCH. ANOTHER EXAMPLE IS, THERE ARE MEN THAT PREACH THAT GOD'S CHILDREN ARE NOT TO WORK ON THE SABBATH DAY. IF A MAN PREACHES THAT MEN SHOULD NOT WORK OF THE SABBATH AND BUILDS AGAIN THE SABBATH DAY LAWS AS THEY WERE UNDER THE LAW OF MOSES, HE WILL MAKE HIMSELF A TRANGRESSOR.

Gal:2:18: For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

Gal:2:19: For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.

Gal:2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Gal:2:21: I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. (KJV)

CHRIST JESUS COMMANDED A MAN TO BREAK THE SABBATH DAY LAW. JESUS COMMANDED THE MAN TO CARRY HIS BED ON THE SABBATH DAY.

Jn:5:8: Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

Jn:5:9: And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

Jn:5:10: The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.

Jn:5:11: He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.

IF MEN PREACH THAT MEN ARE NOT TO EAT CERTAIN ANIMALS SHOULD AS HOG, OR RABBIT, OR SQUIRREL, AND BUILDS AGAIN THE DIETARY LAWS AS THEY WERE IN THE LAW OF MOSES, HE WILL MAKE HIMSELF A TRANSGRESSOR. JESUS CHRIST COMMANDED THE APOSTLE PETER TO KILL AND EAT ANIMALS THAT WERE PREVIOUSLY UNCLEAN.

Acts:10:9: On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

Acts:10:10: And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, Acts:10:11: And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

Acts:10:12: Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

Acts:10:13: And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

Acts:10:14: But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

Acts:10:15: And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
