A Sermon by Reverend Hollis Ray Mathis

reetings, holy children of God, in the wonderful name of our lord and saviour Jesus, the Christ. The sermon subject for today is:

Infallibility 3

Are there many people going into the flames of Hell? To prepare the wicked people, the grapes of God’s wrath for Hell; in the world to come, a great winepress shall be sit up, and the grapes of wrath are going to be harvested, and cast into the wine press. The winepress shall be trod. And the blood shall come from the winepress and flow into a valley, for two hundred miles up to horses bridle. Rev.14:19And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs. Furlong defined- 1/8 of a mile. Many people on Judgment Day will plead ignorance of the Laws of God. But God commands us to study His words, His scriptures. Amplified Tanslation. 2Tim:2:15Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. Jesus Christ my Lord has said, Jn:14:15If ye love me, keep my commandments. Heavenly Father, I thank you for being so good to me, I love you with all my heart, help me Lord to prove my love for you by keeping your commandments. There is a doctrine preached among millions of people, that there is a bishop in the Catholic church, when he sits in his chair as pastor and teacher,ex cathedra, he is infallible. Infallible defined. 1. not erring: incapable of making a mistake 2. incapable of failing: certain not to fail 3. unerring in doctrine: incapable of being mistaken in matters of doctrine and dogma. Is this doctrine scriptural? This is the only verse of scripture, that I can find, in which the word “infallible is used. Acts:1:3To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: “Infallibity” How did this doctrine come into existence? (Pastor Aeternus) Lateran Councils, it met in the Vatican Basilica, whence its name of First Vatican Council. Its best-known decision is its definition of papal infallibility. I quote “There was stronger opposition to the draft constitution on the nature of the Church, which at first did not include the question of papal infallibility,[2] but the majority party in the Council, whose position on this matter was much stronger,[3] brought it forward. It was decided to postpone discussion of everything in the draft except infallibility.[3] On 13 July 1870, the section on infallibility was voted on: 451 voted simply in favour (placet), (it pleases). 88 against (non placet), and 62 in favour but on condition of some amendment (placet iuxta modum).[3] This made evident what the final outcome would be, and some 60 members of the opposition left Rome so as not to be associated with approval of the document. The final vote, with a choice only between placet and non placet, was taken on 18 July 1870, with 533 votes in favour and only 2 against defining as a dogma the infallibility of the pope when speaking ex cathedra.[2] The dogmatic constitution states that the Pope has "full and supreme power of jurisdiction over the whole Church" (chapter 3:9); and that, when he "speaks ex cathedra, that is, when, in the exercise of his office as shepherd and teacher of all Christians, in virtue of his supreme apostolic authority, he defines a doctrine concerning faith or morals to be held by the whole Church, he possesses, by the divine assistance promised to him in blessed Peter, that infallibility which the divine Redeemer willed his Church to enjoy in defining doctrine concerning faith or morals." Morals defined-involving right and wrong. When a person does the things that God commands us to do in the Holy Scpritures; that is “Right.” When a person abstains from doing those things forbidden by scripture; that is “Right” I once saw a movie in which after the pope was elected, in the ritual of Apostolic Succession-(unbroken line of succession from the Apostles) one of the bishops came up to him, and said, “ Thou art Peter.” These popes that come into power by Apostolic Succession, in these later days do not act as the Apostle Peter. The Apostle Peter when the church come together would have used the scriptures as the authority under Christ, and conducted the service as commanded by God thus. 1Cor:14:26How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. 27If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. 29Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. 30If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. 31For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. 32And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 34Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. 35And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. 36What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? 37If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. To have the gifts of the Spirit working in the assembly, the elect of God, must be Spirit filled. . The Popes elected by succession do not command their priest to baptize in the name of Jesus Christ. When a child of God is baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, they come into the promise that they shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. The Apostle Peter was inspired of God to speak these words concerning baptism. Acts 2:38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. When a child of God is baptized in the name of Jesus Christ they are translated out of the world, and into the Body of Christ. Gal:3:27For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Eternal life is in the Body of Christ. 1Jn:5:11And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Jesus Christ gave the Apostle Peter the Keys to the kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 16:19And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. The name Jesus Christ is the master key to the Kingdom of God. I believe that Peter used the Keys on the day of Pentecost to let the Jews into the Kingdom of God by preaching the Gospel, and baptizing in the name of Jesus Christ. Peter used the Keys to let the Gentiles into the Kingdom of God at the home of Cornelius. Acts 10:46For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, 47Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? 8And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days. Peter used the name of Jesus Christ to heal the man, lame from birth; Peter when examined by the rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, said these words Acts:4:10Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 12Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Popes elected by succession allow, even encourage, millions of men and women to bow to idols, pray to idols, kiss idols. The Apostle Peter would not have allowed images to be brought into the Church because of these commandments. Deuteronomy 16:22Neither shalt thou set thee up any image; which the LORD thy God hateth. Ex:20: 3Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 2Cor:6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. The popes that have been elected by succession, require that their priest and nuns take vows of celibacy, in these later days, forbid their priest and nuns to marry. This is the doctrine of the devil. 1Tim4:1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:5For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. Because of the doctrine of celibacy, there is not a priest in the Catholic Church qualified to be a bishop. To be a bishop a man must be a married man.1Tim :3:1This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; 4One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 5(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) Is it God’s will, that men that work in the ministry, be required to take a vow of poverty. Slaves work without pay. Men that work are to work in hope. 1Cor:9:9For it is written in the law of Moses, thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? 10Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. The Apostle Peter would have never done this. Men in authority in the Catholic Church have commanded their priest when performing the ritual of the Eucharist, to withhold the fruit of the vine from the congregation. This doctrine precedes from Satan. Jesus Christ has said these words. Jn:6:53Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. And defined- in addition to. Therefore this verse of scripture when expounded upon could read something like this. Except ye eat the flesh of the son of man, and in addition, drink of His blood, ye have no life in you. It is a terrible thing, for a man, woman, or child to go out into eternity dead both body and soul. When men come to preach the Mass I have never heard them mention the requirements to inherit by the New Testament. For example: to inherit such wonderful gifts as eternal life, and the immortal body, you must repent, Acts 13:5you must be strong in faith, Acts 16:31 you must be born of water, baptized, and born of the spirit, Holy Ghost, Jn:5:3-7you must be obedient to the commandments of God,Jn:14:15 you must be fruitful,Jn15:2 you must wash the feet of the saints, and allow them to wash your feet. Jn:13:10 There are certain things you must not do. Gal:5:19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. The men in the Catholic Church come into the Church with their heads covered with a skull cap on their heads. If a man prays with his head cover dishonors his head which is Christ. Most men that hate Christ pray with their heads covered. 2Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you. 3But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. 4Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. Christ Jesus though He created heaven, and earth, when he commands all men, and women to abstain from calling men Father is not obeyed by the men, and women of the Catholic Church. Though He commands the people not to pray repetitious prays, they continue to pray the rosary. If a man preaches there is a purgatory when in reality there is not; he is preaching heresy; and heresy is one of the works of the flesh and puts his salvation in jeopardy.
