reetings,
holy children of God, in the wonderful name of our lord and saviour Jesus, the Christ.
The sermon subject for today is: IN CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY, WHAT IS SALVATION? IT IS THE RECEIVING OF THE HOLY GHOST. WHEN A PERSON RECEIVES THE HOLY GHOST IT IS THE EARNEST OF OUR INHERITANCE. Ti:3:5: Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; (KJV) WE, THE ELECT OF GOD, ARE SAVED WHEN WE ARE BAPTIZED INTO THE BODY OF CHRIST, AND RECEIVE THE WASHING OF REGENERATION, AND THE RENEWING OF THE HOLY GHOST. WHEN A PERSON RECEIVES THE HOLY GHOST, THE INWARD MAN THE SOUL COMES TO LIFE. IT IS THE SOUL OF MAN THAT SHALL LIVE IN ETERNITY, FOR THE LORD RENEWS THE SOUL OF MAN DAY BY DAY. WHEN DID SALVATION BEGIN? BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, GOD LOVED HIS CHILDREN, ELECTED, SELECTED, HAND PICKED US TO BE HIS VERY OWN. AND PREDESTINATED US TO BE ADOPTED INTO HIS FAMILY. BEFORE WE WERE BORN, BEFORE WE HAD DONE ANY GOOD ARE EVIL, WE, THE CHILDREN OF GOD FOUND GRACE IN THE EYES OF GOD. GRACE IS AN UNMERITED FAVOR, WE DID NOTHING TO DESERVE HIS LOVE, BUT HE LOVED US. Eph:1:1: Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: Eph:1:2: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Eph:1:3: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Eph:1:4: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Eph:1:5: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, SAINTS OF GOD, IN THE DAYS OF NOAH THE EARTH WAS FILLED WITH VIOLENCE, AND GOD MADE A DECISION TO DESTROY ALL MANKIND. BUT, THERE WAS ONE MAN THAT FOUND GRACE IN THE EYES OF GOD, NOAH. IF IT HAD NOT BEEN FOR NOAH, ALL MANKIND WOULD HAVE BEEN DESTROYED, AND THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT TODAY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN. Gn:6:5: And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Gn:6:6: And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. Gn:6:7: And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. Gn:6:8: But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. HOLY CHILDREN GOD LOVES HIS CHILDREN BUT HE HATES THE CHILDREN OF SATAN. BEFORE A CHILD IS BORN INTO THE WORLD, GOD EITHER LOVES THEM, OR HATES THEM. LET ME GIVE YOU, AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. ISAAC AND REBECCA HAD TWIN BOYS, WHILE THE CHILDREN WERE STILL IN REBECCA'S WOMB, GOD SAID JACOB I LOVE, BUT ESAU I HATE. Rom:9:10: And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac; Rom:9:11: (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) Rom:9:12: It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. Rom:9:13: As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. Rom:9:14: What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. Rom:9:15: For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. Rom:9:16: So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. CHILDREN OF LIGHT, HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ON THE FACT THAT IF NOAH HAD NOT FOUND GRACE IN THE EYES OF GOD, ALL MANKIND WOULD HAVE BEEN DESTROYED. WHEN GOD TOLD NOAH THAT HE WAS GOING TO DESTROY THE WORLD, NOAH BELIEVED GOD, THAT'S FAITH. WE THE CHILDREN OF GOD ARE SAVED BY GRACE, THOUGH FAITH, AND NOT OF OURSELVES IT IS A GIFT OF GOD. Eph:2:8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Eph:2:9: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph:2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. BELOVED, GOD SPOKE TO NOAH AND COMMANDED NOAH TO BUILD AN ARK. NOAH WAS OBEDIENT TO GOD'S COMMAND. WE, AS CHRISTIANS ARE SOLDIERS IN THE ARMY OF GOD, AND WE ARE COMMANDED TO BE OBEDIENT. 2Tm:2:5: And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. (KJV) IF A MAN PLANS ON MAKING HEAVEN HIS ETERNAL HOME, HE MUST WORK, BECAUSE FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD. WE, AS SAINTS OF GOD, ARE ORDAINED OF GOD UNTO GOOD WORKS. IF A BROTHER OR SISTER BE NAKED, AND DESTITUTE OF DAILY FOOD, AND YOU SAY "DEPART IN PEACE, BE YE WARMED, AND FILLED NOT WITHSTANDING YOU GIVE THEM NOT THOSE THINGS NEEDFUL TO THE BODY." YOU WILL BE IN LOTS OF DIFFICULTY ON JUDGMENT DAY. WHEN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST RETURNS FOR HIS BRIDE THE CHURCH, HE SHALL GATHER ALL NATIONS BEFORE HIM; AND HE SHALL JUDGE ACCORDING TO A MAN'S WORKS. Mt:25:31: When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: Mt:25:32: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: Mt:25:33: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Mt:25:34: Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: Mt:25:35: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Mt:25:36: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Mt:25:37: Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? Mt:25:38: When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Mt:25:39: Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? Mt:25:40: And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Mt:25:41: Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Mt:25:42: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: Mt:25:43: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Mt:25:44: Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Mt:25:45: Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. Mt:25:46: And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. (KJV) THE HOLY SCRIPTURES SAY THAT NOAH WAS A JUST MAN, A MAN RIGHTEOUS IN THE EYES OF GOD. WE, HOLY BRETHREN, ARE MADE RIGHTEOUS IN THE EYES OF GOD BY FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS FOR OUR SALVATION, AND FAITH IN THE BLOOD THAT JESUS SHED ON CALVARY'S CROSS FOR OUR REDEMPTION,. WHEN PAUL, AND SILAS WERE IN PRISON, THE PRISON GUARD ASKED THEM THIS QUESTION, "WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?" AND THEY ANSWERED "BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED, AND THY HOUSE." Acts:16:25: And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. Acts:16:26: And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. Acts:16:27: And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. Acts:16:28: But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. Acts:16:29: Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, Acts:16:30: And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? Acts:16:31: And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. BELOVED THE WORD "HOUSE", AS USED HERE DEFINED MEANS "RELATIVES." IF A MAN TRULY BELIEVES, PLACES HIS FAITH, AND HIS TRUST IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST FOR HIS SALVATION; THEN I BELIEVE THAT HE WILL SAVE HIMSELF, HIS FATHER, MOTHER, SISTERS, AND BROTHERS, AND ALL OF HIS KIN. NOW I REALIZE THAT NOT ALL MEN HAVE THE POWER TO BELIEVE THAT A MAN'S HOUSE WILL BE SAVED BECAUSE OF A MAN'S FAITH. AND, I DON'T KNOW IF THEIR HOUSE WILL BE SAVED OR NOT. I BELIEVE THAT ATHEIST, AGNOSTIC'S, SKEPTICS, AND UNBELIEVERS, WILL HAVE DIFFICULTY WHEN THEY STAND BEFORE GOD ON JUDGMENT DAY. LET ME RECAP, NOAH FOUND GRACE IN THE EYES OF GOD, NOAH WAS A JUST MAN, RIGHTEOUS, NOAH BELIEVED GOD, A MAN OF FAITH, NOAH WAS OBEDIENT TO GOD'S COMMAND AND BUILT THE ARK, NOAH WAS SAVED BY WORKS. THERE IS NO PLACE IN THE BIBLE THAT SAYS NOAH'S WIFE, HIS SONS, AND HIS DAUGHTER IN LAWS FOUND GRACE IN THE EYES OF GOD, BUT I BELIEVE BECAUSE OF NOAH'S FAITH THEY WERE SAVED. WHEN THE WATER CAME IT LIFTED THE ARK AND SAVED NOAH, AND HIS FAMILY. AS THE WATER SAVED NOAH, BAPTISM DOTH NOW SAVE GOD'S CHILDREN. 1Pt:3:20: Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. (KJV) 1Pt:3:21: The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: (KJV) BELOVED OF GOD, IF YOU ARE A NEW CONVERT TO THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION YOU MAY NOT KNOW HOW THAT BAPTISM SAVES A PERSON. WHEN A PERSON IS BORN INTO THE WORLD, THEY ARE ALIVE PHYSICALLY BUT DEAD SPIRITUALLY. THEY ARE IN THE WORLD, AND UNDER THE LAW OF MOSES' WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH. BY THE LAW OF MOSES NO FLESH SHALL BE ACQUITTED OF SIN. AND THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH. TO MAKE HEAVEN THEIR ETERNAL HOME, THEY MUST BE BORN AGAIN OF WATER, AND OF THE SPIRIT. WHEN A PERSON IS BAPTIZED, BORN OF WATER, THEIR SINS ARE REMITTED, WASHED AWAY, AND THEY COME INTO THE PROMISE THAT THEY SHALL RECEIVE THE HOLY GHOST. Acts:2:38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (KJV) WHEN A PERSON IS BAPTIZED THEY ARE BAPTIZED OUT OF THE WORLD, AND INTO THE BODY OF CHRIST. AND THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS HAS MADE US FREE FROM THE LAW OF SIN, AND DEATH. Rom:8:1: There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Rom:8:2: For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Rom:8:3: For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: Rom:8:4: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. WHEN A PERSON RECEIVES THE HOLY GHOST, THE INWARD MAN THE SOUL COMES TO LIFE AND THEY BECOME A NEW CREATURE, A NEW CREATION. OLD THINGS PAST AWAY, ALL THINGS BECOME NEW. 2Cor:5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (KJV) THAT PART OF A MAN COMES TO LIFE, THAT SHALL LIVE IN ETERNITY FOR THE INWARD MAN THE SOUL IS RENEWED DAY BY DAY. 2Cor:4:16: For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. (KJV) HOLY CHILDREN WHEN A MAN IS BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, THEY ARE BAPTIZED OUT OF THE WORLD AND INTO THE BODY OF CHRIST,. Gal:3:27: For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (KJV) AND THEY ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE LAW OF SIN, AND DEATH, BUT UNDER GRACE. WHEN WE ARE BAPTIZED WE DIE TO SIN. AS MANY OF US AS WERE BAPTIZED INTO HIS DEATH ARE BURIED WITH JESUS KNOWING THIS, THAT SIN SHALL NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER US. LET US WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE. FOR WE ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE LAW OF SIN, AND DEATH, BUT UNDER GRACE. Rom:6:12: Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Rom:6:13: Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. Rom:6:14: For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. THE LORD INVITED NOAH, AND HIS FAMILY INTO THE ARK. AND NOAH, AND HIS FAMILY WENT INTO THE ARK. WHEN THE WATER CAME IT LIFTED THE ARK UP, AND SAVED NOAH, AND HIS FAMILY; BUT IT DESTROYED ALL THAT WAS OUTSIDE THE ARK. Gn:7:1: And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. WE, THE CHILDREN OF GOD, FOUND GRACE IN THE EYES OF GOD BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD. IN THE FULLNESS OF TIME GOD CALLS US TO REPENTANCE. JUSTIFIES, GLORIFIES US, TRANSLATES US OUT OF THE WORLD, AND INTO THE BODY OF CHRIST. AND, GIVES US THE WASHING OF REGENERATION, AND THE RENEWING OF THE HOLY GHOST. WERE IS ETERNAL LIFE? IT IS IN THE BODY OF CHRIST. 1Jn:5:11: And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (KJV)
