reetings,
holy children of God, in the wonderful name of our lord and saviour Jesus, the Christ.
The sermon subject for today is: What is salvation? Salvation is being in the body of Christ, free from sin, perfectly righteous, having a living body, a living soul, and living spirit, predestinated to eat of the Tree of Life, predestinated to make the heavenly city New Jerusalem our eternal home, predestinated to be heir and joint heirs with Jesus Christ in the Kingdom of God. Children of God, many of the enemies of Christ, the false prophets, would have you to believe, that all a person has to do to be saved is: believe. If that doctrine was true, even the devils would be saved, for they believe and tremble. James 2:l9 thou believest that there is one God: thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. Who shall be saved? Only those that found grace in the eyes of God before the foundation of the world. Eph:1:3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. There are in this world both the children of God, and the children of Satan. When God created His children He created us in such a way that we have the ability to believe spiritual things without seeing. The children of Satan are faithless, therefore they cannot be saved because the Holy Ghost, that brings life to the soul must be received by faith. John:14:16And I will pray the Father and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. In the fullness of time God calls His children to repentance. Rom: 8:28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? And when we, the children of God, hear the gospel preached; faith comes to dwell within us. Rom:10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. To be saved a person must “Repent.”Jesus Christ said these words.Luke:13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. To be saved a person must be strong in faith. The apostle Paul said these words to Macedonian guard, when he asked what he must do to be saved. Acts 16:31And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 32And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. 33And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway. God demands perfection of His children. Mat:5:48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. There is only one way to be perfectly righteous in the eyes of God, and that is by faith in Christ Jesus. When a man places his faith in Christ for his salvation, and places his faith in the blood Jesus shed on Calvary’s cross for his redemption; God the Father allows him to declare the righteousness of Jesus, which is a perfect righteousness. Rom:3:25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; When we, the elect of God, are baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus, we are translated out of the world, and into the Body of Christ. Gal:3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. The water of baptism washes our sins away, and we come into promise that we shall receive the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. When the elect of God are baptized properly we receive the Holy Ghost. Acts 19:1And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, 2He said unto them, have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, we have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. 3And he said unto them, unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, unto John's baptism. 4Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. 7And all the men were about twelve. If you are a new convert to the Christian Religion you may not know why it is so important to receive the Holy Ghost. It is the Holy Ghost that brings life to the inward man the soul. 2Cor:5:17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. It is the soul of man that shall live in eternity. 2Cor:4:16For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. The anointing the Holy Ghost brings will teach the soul of man and brings him into all truth. 1John 2:27But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. The soul of man delights in the laws of God. 22For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: The Holy Ghost gives us, the saints of God the power to preach, teach, witness, and the power to live the sin free life. 8He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. Will the water of your baptism save you? Absolutely. 1Peter 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus. We as saints of God must partake of the Lord’s Supper. Except the elect of God eat of the flesh of the Lord Jesus, and drink of His blood they will have no life in them. John 6:53Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 57As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. 58This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. The saints must confess the Lord Jesus. Rom:10:9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. We, as saints, must be fruitful. John:15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.4Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. When someone gets saved because that you have witnessed to them, sang in the choir, help to build the church, mowed the grass, played on a musical instrument, etc. I believe that you are fruitful as an “Accessory” to the fact. You must work in the harvest for faith without works is dead. Let me give you an example. If a brother or sister comes to you in need of the necessities of life, food, clothes, help them, and the Lord will bless you. For faith without works is dead. James 2:15If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. The words you speak are recorded, your good works are recorded, and on Judgment Day the books shall be opened, and you shall be judged by what was written in the books according to your works. Rev:20:12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. You must wash the feet of the saints, and allow them to wash your feet. For the stains of sin are upon the feet. John 13:5After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. 6Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? 7Jesus answered and said unto him, what I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. 8Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. 9Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. 10Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. We, saints of God, are soldiers in the army of God, and we must assemble in these church buildings. For a soldier not to assemble in a time of war is a very serious offense.Heb:10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. 26For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 1John:1:8He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. Here are some of the sins we must not commit as soldiers in the army of God. Eph:5:3But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. 5For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Rev:21:8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Gal:5:19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. It is going to be very difficult for a person to make heaven their eternal home without studing the Holy Scriptures, for we, as saints, are commanded to work out our own salvation fearing and trembling. Philippians 2:12Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For man is not to live by bread alone but every word that precedes out of the mouth of God.
