reetings,
holy children of God, in the wonderful name of our lord and saviour Jesus, the Christ.
The sermon subject for today is: TO GIVE THE RIGHT VALUE TO WORDS IS A VERY IMPORTANT FACTOR IN THE PROPER INTERPRETATION OF GOD'S LAW. WHAT IS WORK? "WORK" DEFINED IS, 1: activity in which one exerts strength or faculties to do or perform something: a sustained physical or mental effort to overcome obstacles and achieve an objective or result IF A PERSON LEVELS A FOOTBALL FIELD WITH A BULL DOSSIER, THAT IS WORK. IF A PERSON TURNS ON A LIGHT BULB, THAT IS WORK. WHERE THERE IS MOVEMENT THERE IS WORK WHETHER IT IS LIGHTING A FIRE TO COOK A MEAL, OR BUYING OR SELLING THERE IS WORK. SOME WORK IS GREAT, SOME WORK IS SMALL. GOD HAS ALWAYS INTENDED FOR MAN TO WORK EVEN FROM THE VERY BEGINNING. Gn:2:15: And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. GOD GAVE THE MAN A COMMANDMENT WHILE HE WAS IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN, THAT HE COULD EAT OF EVERY TREE IN THE GARDEN EXCEPT THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD, AND EVIL. BUT IN THE DAY THAT HE EAT OF THAT TREE HE WOULD SURELY DIE. WHEN ADAM TRANSGRESSED THAT COMMANDMENT, SIN CAME INTO THE WORLD, AND CONTAMINATED, POLLUTED, AND MADE UNCLEAN GOD'S BEAUTIFUL CREATION. MADE UNCLEAN THE PEOPLE, THE ANIMALS, THE BIRDS, THE FISH; SOME ANIMALS, BIRDS, AND FISH ESCAPED POLLUTION, BECAUSE OF THE WAY THEY WERE CREATED. WHEN ADAM TRANSGRESSED THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD, ALL HUMANITY WAS IN ADAM, AND BECAUSE OF OUR PHYSICAL UNION, SIN WAS IMPUTED UNTO US ALL. DEATH REIGNED UPON ALL MANKIND, THE SOUL OF MAN DIED. 1Cor:15:22: For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (KJV) NOT ONLY DID MAN DIE THE SPIRITUAL DEATH, BUT, GOD PLACED A CURSE ON MAN THAT HE WOULD LIVE BY THE SWEAT OF HIS FACE, MAN WOULD HAVE TO WORK TO LIVE. Gn:3:17: And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Gn:3:18: Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; Gn:3:19: In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. WHEN A PERSON TRANSGRESSES THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD, THEN COMES THE CURSE, AND THEN COMES DESTRUCTION. THE MAN ADAM WAS DRIVEN FROM THE TREE OF LIFE. AND DEATH, THE SPIRITUAL DEATH REIGNED FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS, UPON ALL MANKIND. FROM THE TIME OF ADAM TO MOSES ALL HUMANITY WENT OUT INTO ETERNITY WITHOUT HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE. WHEN MOSES WAS BORN, GOD CHOSE HIM A PEOPLE, ISRAEL. AND, GOD GAVE MOSES THE LAW FOR THEIR SALVATION BY WORKS. TO BE SAVED FROM DESTRUCTION, THEY HAD TO KEEP THE LAW TO THE LETTER. Rom:7:6: But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. (KJV) IF A PERSON TRANSGRESSED ONE LAW THEY WERE GUILTY OF THE WHOLE LAW. Jms:2:10: For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. (KJV) IF A PERSON TRANSGRESSED THE LAW OF MOSES' THEY WENT UNDER THE CURSE, OR A SENTENCE OF CONDEMNATION. Dt:27:26: Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen. (KJV) THE WORD FAITH IS ONLY MENTIONED IN THE OLD TESTAMENT TWO TIMES, FOR MEN WERE NOT SAVED BY FAITH, THEY WERE SAVED BY WORKS. THE LAW WAS SPIRITUAL, AND MEN CARNAL MINDED. WERE THERE MANY SAVED UNDER THE LAW OF MOSES'. ONLY A FEW, THE WORD FEW IS DEFINED AS THREE OR MORE. Is:24:5: The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Is:24:6: Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. FROM THE TIME THAT ADAM TRANSGRESSED THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD, UNTIL CHRIST JESUS HANG ON CALVARY'S TREE, WE AS GENTILES WERE WITHOUT HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE. Eph:2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Eph:2:12: That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: Eph:2:13: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Eph:2:14: For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Eph:2:15: Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; Eph:2:16: And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: SAINTS OF GOD, ARE WE, AS CHILDREN OF GOD, TO KEEP THE LAWS RECORDED IN THE OLD TESTAMENT? NO, WE ARE NOT. IF A PERSON PREACHES WRONGLY FROM THE OLD TESTAMENT, HE WILL HAVE GOD'S CHILDREN OFFERING UP SACRIFICES UNTO GOD, STONING WITCHES, STONING ADULTERERS, STONING STUBBORN CHILDREN, FORBIDDING PEOPLE FROM EATING SOME MEATS. ALL THESE THINGS WE, AS SAINTS OF GOD ARE NOT TO DO. IF A WE ARE NOT TO KEEP THE LAWS OF THE OLD TESTAMENT, WHY WAS IT RECORDED? THE OLD TESTAMENT WAS OUR SCHOOL MASTER TO BRING US UNTO CHRIST. Gal:3:23: But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Gal:3:24: Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Gal:3:25: But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. Gal:3:26: For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. BELOVED OF GOD, ARE THE JEWS STILL MADE RIGHTEOUS BY KEEPING THE LAW OF MOSES'? NO, THEY ARE NOT. HERE IS WHAT THE APOSTLE PAUL HAS TO SAY ABOUT RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND THE LAW THAT GOD GAVE TO MOSES'. Rom:10:1: Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. Rom:10:2: For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. Rom:10:3: For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. Rom:10:4: For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Rom:10:5: For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. RIGHTEOUSNESS BY WORKS ALONE, BY THE LAW OF MOSES', WAS UNTIL JOHN THE BAPTIST CAME PREACHING IN THE WILDERNESS. SINCE THAT TIME THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS PREACHED, AND MEN PRESSED INTO IT. Lk:16:16: The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. (KJV) IF A MAN SAYS THAT HE HAS FAITH, AND HAS NO WORKS THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG. Jms:2:14: What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? Jms:2:15: If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, Jms:2:16: And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Jms:2:17: Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Jms:2:18: Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Jms:2:19: Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. Jms:2:20: But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? BROTHERS, AND SISTERS IN CHRIST, UNDER THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS WE ARE MADE RIGHTEOUS BY FAITH, AND WORKS. NOT BY WORKS OF THE LAW OF MOSES', BUT WE, AS CHILDREN OF GOD, HAVE BEEN ORDAINED TO DO GOOD WORKS. Eph:2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. CHILDREN OF LIGHT, IS IT POSSIBLE UNDER THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS TO BE SAVED BY GOOD WORKS ALONE? NO, IT IS NOT. IF WE COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED BY GOOD WORKS ALONE THEN THERE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ANY NEED FOR THE SACRIFICE THAT CHRIST JESUS MADE ON CALVARY'S CROSS. UNDER THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE WE ARE MADE RIGHTEOUS BY FAITH, AND CONFESSION. Rom:10:8: But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; Rom:10:9: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Rom:10:10: For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. THE PREACHER, THE SON OF KING DAVID, THE WRITER OF THE BOOK OF ECCLESIATES, RECORDED THESE WORDS. Eccl:12:13: Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Eccl:12:14: For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. KJV) FOR EXAMPLE IF A BROTHER OR SISTER IN CHRIST IS HUNGRY, FEED THEM, IF THEY ARE NAKED, CLOTH THEM. IF THEY ARE SICK AND IN PRISON VISIT THEM. JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD, SAID THESE WORDS. Mt:25:32: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: Mt:25:33: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Mt:25:34: Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: Mt:25:35: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Mt:25:36: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Mt:25:37: Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? Mt:25:38: When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Mt:25:39: Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? Mt:25:40: And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Mt:25:41: Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Mt:25:42: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: Mt:25:43: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Mt:25:44: Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Mt:25:45: Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. Mt:25:46: And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. (KJV) THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE THAT MISINTERPRET THE LAWS OF GOD, BY SAYING THAT FAITH PLUS NOTHING EQUALS SALVATION. IF A PERSON BELIEVES THAT DOCTRINE AND REFUSES TO BE BAPTIZED THEY SHALL NOT ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD. FOR EXCEPT A PERSON IS BORN OF WATER, AND THE SPIRIT, THEY CANNOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD. Jn:3:5: Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (KJV) IF A PERSON BELIEVES THE DOCTRINE FAITH PLUS NOTHING EQUALS SALVATION, AND REFUSES TO PARTAKE OF THE LORD'S SUPPER. HE WILL PERISH, FOR EXCEPT A MAN EAT OF THE FLESH OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND DRINKS OF HIS BLOOD, HE WILL HAVE NO LIFE IN HIM. Jn:6:53: Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Jn:6:54: Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. Jn:6:55: For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. Jn:6:56: He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. Jn:6:57: As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. Jn:6:58: This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. REMEMBER THIS SAINTS OF GOD, ON JUDGMENT DAY WHEN THE BOOKS ARE OPENED, YOU SHALL BE JUDGES BY THE WORKS THAT YOU HAVE DONE, AND THE WORDS YOU HAVE SPOKEN. Rv:20:11: And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. Rv:20:12: And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
