Fatal Hatreds

Variant campaigns for Fatal Alliances.

This page provides access to Fatal Hatreds, a variant I've been trying to write for Fatal Alliances, a first world war variant by Canadian Wargamers' Group of the second world war game World in Flames. Nothing on this page will be any use to you unless you already have either

an excellent working knowledge of World in Flames and/or Fatal Alliances;
a copy of Fatal Alliances; or
a very odd taste in light reading.

Fatal Hatreds, when it's finished, will be a microscenario for Fatal Alliances, covering

the First Balkan War (1912);
the Second Balkan War (1913); and perhaps some day
the Italo-Turkish War (1911).

Right now it's 90% done but missing some vital rules, mostly concerning morale. The two-player 1912 scenario could more or less be played now, with a generous attitude to filling in the gaps as they become apparent.

The objective is to use the World in Flames system to address a small, self-contained scenario without a lot of the frippery that both games have.

I've divided the scenario into

the rules;
a map (also available as a GIF); and
a counter sheet (also available as a GIF).
