Burks art department's expectations for every student is to inspire them to perceive, create, and appreciate the visual arts, and to explore critical and creative thinking, while building an awareness of everyday life.

Through art, the students can express what they see, know, feel, and imagine, and hopefully, develop a lifelong interest in art.
