PPCD

PPCD is a great place for young children! Some of the major things that children in PPCD learn are: how to play with toys, how to make friends and be a good friend, and to speak so that others can understand them better. The teachers find out their disabilities and then help each individual student to improve! To make their lessons exciting for the children, the teachers give the kids time to work in centers. Some of the centers are beauty shop, blocks, computer, restaurant, and large toys to help with motorskills. The PPCD students also get to work in centers with kindergarten for inclusion. (BELT) They also learn to share and express their feelings appropriately. They have some control over their learning by having many choices.

The kids use technology even at this young age by playing educational computer games.

The kids will want to come to PPCD at Burks Elementary because they have exciting and varied play centers and get to interact with all of the kindergarteners.

The special event they are involved in is the inclusion project with kindergarden called the BELT. And, the kids get to go to the farm too!
