This year, our school community is participating in a food fund-raising co-op called Market Day. This co-op has been in operation since 1973 and has grown to include thousands of schools just like ours.
Each month, as a participating Market Day school, restaurant-quality products from major companies are available for purchase. Our goal is to earn at least $300.00 per month. We can earn this money without our students going door-to-door for fundraising.

When your order form comes home with your student, please take a few minutes to review it. We are confident that this co-op will not only benefit us as consumers, but will also benefit the many programs that Burks PTO supports. When you are figuring your grocery budget, please give "Market Day" a try. We're sure you'll love it!
Finally, thanks to the many people who volunteer at Market Day each month. Volunteering at Market Day consists of working one day a month for approximately 3 hours. It's really a fun way to meet other school parents! We'd love to have some new volunteers. Won't you join us?
This is our second year with the program. I think with your help and support we can reach our goals. Ask a neighbor or relative to buy, also. If every Burks student placed a $10.00 order, our profits would be at least $400.00 per month. Think about it!
