RITA AWARDS--Dallas, 2004!
It's a cliche, I know, to say words cannot describe the joy and excitement and surprise I felt on July 31 in Dallas, when Christine Rimmer opened that little envelope and read, "And the RITA goes to...THE TOP GUN'S RETURN, by Kathleen Creighton!" But it's true. Words can't begin to describe it. That's why I'm including some pictures here, so you can share some of that wonderful experience with me.

And thank you, dear readers, most especially all of you who wrote to tell me how much you enjoyed "THE TOP GUN'S RETURN," and how deeply the book touched you emotionally. For a writer there is simply no greater honor, not even that lovely golden lady called RITA.
