Echoes Across The Sea

I stroll along the vast expanses of the beach
with the memory of your voice to accompany me.
I feel your arm around my shoulders,
Your presence so warmly surrounding me.

I feel you grasp me closer to you,
I listen to the soft whispers echo off the sea.
Gazing out to the beauty of the surf
I walk in awed, stunned silence.

The sun slowly drops to kiss the horizon,
The shadows fall long and deep.
I feel a stiring within my soul,
And I feel my heart leap.

I sense the time is dawning soon,
When we together, hand in hand, will await the new moon.
It may not be on this beach or land,
But wherever it is, I know I will joyfully surrender into your hands.
