In November of 1998 my sister and I had the opportunity to visit Graceland. I was pleasantly surprised at what I saw. The house itself sits back from the road in an otherwise now commercial district of Memphis. I found it to be peaceful and reflected the era well of when Elvis resided there with his family.
Also, having been a former US Postal clerk, I recall when the Elvis stamp went on sale and how we ran out on the first day of issue. It was the hottest selling stamp we had ever sold at that time. The demand was high, and the quantity limited.
