The rules are simple. This is a weekly pool with a small bonus at the end of the year. In order to entice more participation and keep the monetary responsibility at an acceptable level, (cheap), the weekly amount is $1 per person with a bonus of $15 per entry to be paid to the 3 teams having the highest money earnings at the end of the year. Briefly, here are the rules.
1. You have a salary cap of $20 million.
2. You must pick ten (10) players. Your players’ earnings for each week will
be totaled and the highest wins. Simple.
3. Salaries are equal to the amount each player won in 2006. Those below 125th
or from other tours, carry a price tag of $660,000.
4. The year begins with the Mercedes Championship in January, and ends with
the Disney Classic in November 2007. All PGA sanctioned tournament earnings
will count. This includes the Anderson Match Play Championship, the NEC Invitational,
and The American Express Championship.
5. All entries must be accompanied by an entry payment of $60 Can. or $50
U.S. Cut off date is January 4th. If you’re going to be late, DON’T BOTHER!
6. At the end of the year, your team will be paid out at a rate of $1 per
week won X number of entries. That is, if 50 people enter, and you win 10
weeks, you will be paid $500. The most that you can lose is $60 and that is
if your team does not win any weekly prizes. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers
will split the bonus money. 50% for 1st, 30% for 2nd, & 20% for 3rd.
7. 2006 final money winners can be found in various sites on the Internet
as well as in most golf magazines. I am enclosing a file with the earnings.
8. Fed Ex Bonus money “does not” count.
