Ode to x-outs by Larry Freeburn Their balls are no larger than ours although they may have a shine to them that ours may lack. Our balls may be old and misshaped, they may lack a dimple and have x's across the brand name. These things do not matter to us because we refuse to put conditions on our regard for our balls. It is our duty to break the stigma that has been placed on these balls of a lessor God. So the next time you see some strange balls on the course; walk right up, grab them and give them a squeeze. Pick them up and fondle them. Then maybe someday when your down and slapping around your own deformed second-rate balls, someone might come up and give them the little nudge that they need. Our balls have great charecter and I for one display mine with pride!
