Don’t think that all your lies will just pass without a check
We’re looking for you whites who don’t give us due respect
And you keep bitching about our preaching and our will to fight
But you come at us to do your worst cause we’re black and you are white
And you act like everything can change without a change in thought
But you don’t understand all the devastation you have brought
To the mothers and the brothers who you’ve raped in more ways than one
And then you preach we can all make it if we just put down our guns
And if we go back to our jobs that make leave us begging for your scraps
Oh yes we go back all disgruntled but we don’t want to get capped
Cuz we know what happens in the game where only one race rules
But we can’t afford admission to send our children to the schools
Where they might get an education that’s not filled with biased facts
Where you might be shown the real world that is packed with oppressed blacks
And you can’t deny until you try to find the secret to their mind
That they’re thinking “you’re ok because your color matches mine”
And don’t act like this is new we have been praying for the day
When equality is not just a word that makes the pain go away
Because it’s gonna stay and you need to more than just pray for a change
You got to hustle hard and band with all us soldiers in the game
Where we’re taking back the streets that we’ve owned all along
And if you don’t agree with me you aren’t really listening to this song
Cuz nothing changes ‘til that day we stop and really see
Those who abuse us and exploit us to make us look like the enemy
But we are only fighting back in self-defense from all the words
That you poison all the world with, yours is the only voice that’s heard
So in the land of free speech let’s take that power to the rim
And tell all of the people about the things their politicians hide from them
Tell them about why the teachers in ghettos are afraid to teach
It’s not because we hate them it’s because we hate what they preach
Telling us ‘bout a society that don’t tolerate racism
When just yesterday the cops gunned down your best friend for no reason
And how segregation isn’t there when we see through their tricks
Degrading us by saying we speak a foreign tongue called Ebonics
The reality we’re faced with is enough to drive you mad
And then you wonder why we’re saying there’s no integration to be had
It’s nonsense, the way they screw us every chance they get
And the whities who aren’t racist are telling us to get over it
Like the world is peaches and it might be if you’re white
But when your color ain’t the same your better watch your back at night…
