Faceless Family

The faceless man walks into work
Obeys his faceless bosses
Flirts with his faceless secretary
Then drinks some beer with his faceless buddies
Comes home to his faceless wife at nine
Pecks her cheek and mumbles “what’s for dinner?”

But tonight the wife does something odd
She begins to shake as two spheres of knowledge appear from the void
And for the first time in her life she begins to see
Who she is and what she is and where she is and most importantly why
And she realizes she isn’t alone
And she is angered because now she knows
She wasn’t the only one with a face
Her faceless husband was never faceless
He was only wearing a mask to hide his ugly face
She hates him for his trickery
For falling in love with a peanut shell
And the nut inside grins like the devil
