Math Class Blues My gaze sees complexity invisible to all The words are formulating on the wall Sanity is not always the best solution It’s just that some people can’t get the resolution And my bones are weary from the ride My position’s the same even though it’s been tried But perseverance is the sanctuary to the light And faith can’t make or break you if you don’t know what’s right Why can’t humanity understand all we demand Why’s there a point to prove or a law to defend I’m trying to figure out all that my brain contains And if I’m criticized or ridiculed, I hope to cope with all the pain I must be helping I’ve got to be giving Humbleness and complete trust Are the rules by which I’m living But I need something else Besides just myself And compassion better no just be a fucking word
