1999 Season

11/11/99 Stanford 80 Duke 79 (OT)

Some good and bad things, more negative in my opinion. Well it was the first game for a very young team and so you have to take that into account, but there is a lot to work on. Bright spots were Carrawell and Battier's leadership, especially Shane's shooting and Chris's penatration. Other bright spots were Williams's quickness and Dunleavy's knack for the game. James really disappointed me....1 point?!? Also, too many droughts, at the beginning of the 1st and 2nd halves and overtime, it just killed Duke. Not enough inside action on offense or D. They fought back nicely and while didn't deserve to win, they should have pulled it out. Lots of room for improvement, but of course that means there is a lot of talent...everyone will come around, it's a long season.
